Dear Engineering & Computer
Science Students:
You are cordially invited to participate in the IEEE Orange County Section Student
Design Contest that will be held on November 4, 2009, at the 7th
International System-on-Chip (SoC) Conference at the Radisson Hotel Newport
Beach. This targeted event enables dialogue among peers and experts in our
field and it is an outstanding networking opportunity for graduating
students seeking new opportunities in the high-tech industry.
Project Proposal:
The Student Design Contest is designed to encourage engineering and
computer science students attending the Southern California Universities &
Colleges (undergraduates & graduates) to work on a new design (paper design
is also accepted) and present their work at the 7th International
System-on-Chip (SoC) Conference via a poster display (poster size: 24x36 or
slightly larger).
The design project could be a chip-level design, a board-level design
(microprocessor or microcontroller based, etc.), a software project, or a
detailed technology analysis/research. Each project will be judged based on
its overall complexity, originality, and completion of the work. “Wild and
Crazy” design projects are also welcomed! We look forward to hearing from
you.
